Partner compensation
Dear USDOJ:
I am writing you to ask you to please reconsider you exclusion of
gay/lesbian partners from the compensations fund.
I have no connection to the fund, nor did I lose anyone I love on
September 11th, nor do I have any connection really to the gay rights
community. But it just breaks my heart to think of the many partners who
lost not only their loved ones, but the financial, emotional, and
physical support, and to think that their will be no help for them. And
even worse, no acknowledgement that their loss is real, and as difficult
to suffer through as any other.
