TO: Kenneth L. Zwick, Director of Office of Mgmt. Programs - I, PERSONALLY
AM OUTRAGED, to know that our American Government is directing its own
"terrorist attack" against the Gay and Lesbian American heroes who lost
loved ones on September 11, by denying any victim compensation benefits.
What happed to "UNITED WE STAND..."??? The states with laws that do not
recognize gay relationships need to be changed. I am not gay, but two my
best friends are. They bring more beauty, kindness, honor and respect to our
country, our state, our community and our family than any two people I know.
They are two people I would want beside me if I were going to war. From
everything I have read and heard about , he was also an
incredible person. God puts all of us on this earth for a purpose. Perhaps,
as a gay hero, his purpose was to help our government recognize the
injustice of these laws. Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves...President Bush
needs to free the Gay/Lesbians from injustice by reforming these laws - all
of them...Compensation, Adoption, Marriage, Workplace,etc. ALL OF THEM!!!
