The Victim Compensation Fund
I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September 11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits as heterosexual spouses! FETUSES and ILLEGAL ALIENS are covered!! When it comes to gay and lesbian heroes of the day, , and , to mention three although there are many more, we are told that no exceptions can be made. An exception is being made for the families of illegal aliens. In addition, American companies that hired illegal aliens, in violation of federal law, have been exempted from prosecution! Once again, selective discrimination is sponsored by our government. We must compensate every family who lost a gay and/or lesbian loved one, whether they are gay or not. The Department of Justice must take the correct position and not become involved in supporting this outrageous policy.
