Sad News

It continues to amaze me at the forms that discrimination can take in the
United States. Your recent decision to bar benefits
to the surviving same sex partners of the victims of September 11th is a
brash example of this. Yet illegal aliens will have more rights than gay
and lesbian Americans? The logic does not add up except to make one group
of people less than.
I am, among other things, a retired educator and gay man. My recent visit
to Ground Zero was a heart rendering experience.
The very breath of those lost there and in Washington and Pennsylvania
continues to hang over our heads. Which you believe
we should bow in shame for some.
Please reconsider your current policy in this matter.
