I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September 11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits, from the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund, as heterosexual spouses. Some of those who died to save others on September 11 were gay. What a difference between their sacrifice and your petty, subhuman discrimination. I do not believe the statement that the law "requires" this discrimination. Your action is ugly, discriminatory, and un-American. It cannot be supported.
