Comments from the UK
As a well published gay and mainstream poet, I get many e-mails from American
readers who feel bitter about continuing gay discrimination and persecution
in many parts of the U.S. It also happens in the U.K. still. In 2002, one
would hope that Human Rights would be better respected. Gays are no better or
worse than any one else. A gay person's sexual preferences do NOT make
him/her less of a human being or less able to make a positive contribution to
Society.
