discrimination

It has just come to my attention that the gay and lesbian partners of those that perished in the World Trade Center attack will not necessarily be compensated for the loss of their loved ones. I find this to be discriminatory and un-American. Gay and lesbian family's work, love, pay taxes, and vote just like heterosexual families. The difference is that we are not allowed to form legal domestic partnerships through no fault of our own.It is just wrong to compensate the families of illegal aliens and not take care of our own people. I was a contributor to a couple of the victim funds immediately following the attack and I am starting to feel betrayed. I ask that you reconsider your decision and do what is morally correct.

Thank you.
