I am extremely concerned about how gay and lesbian families are apparently being treated by the 911 Fund. Discrimination against people who have suffered such a terrible loss is unconscionable. That Gay and Lesbians families are treated as having lesser status than illegal aliens shows a bigotry that is shameful and certainly not in keeping with "the American way." I feel that as a taxpaying U. S. citizen all (alien, gay and lesbian) human beings touched by this tragedy deserve equal and compassionate treatment.
Please tell me that such discrimination is not being applied. I want to be proud of my government.
