They're just as dead
I have heard the excuse offered...The state laws do not make accommodations for domestic partners, surviving partners of gay victims. However, the state government still expected these people to pay taxes while they were alive. They still expected them to follow all laws that everyone else has to follow. These people's surviving family deserves to be compensated. Stop hiding behind laws based on an outdated belief.
I've heard how important to this city. I guess he wasn't important enough.
Calling him and any other homosexual that died on 9/11 a hero is just lip service.
