sept. 11 injustice

We cannot believe the terrible injustice that is happening to our fellow Americans in the gay and lesbian community. They are as much American as anyone else in this nation and we need to make sure they are treated as such. How can we treat people who are not American citizens here illegally better than we treat our own fellow Americans? Every one who died on Sept. 11 is a hero and we need to treat each and every one of them as such. How dare you even think about separating the heroes based on their sexual orientation. The gay and lesbian people who died on that tragic day served their country just the same as any heterosexual did despite all the ridicule and harassment they have endured their whole life from other American citizens. Everyone says that this tragedy brought the country together as one, but obviously it has done nothing but tear it apart more that it already is. How dare you treat the heroes of 9-11 with such disrespect.
