Discrimination of Gays
Dear Kenneth Zwick.
I am shocked and saddened to hear that the victim compensation fund for the victims of 9/11 is planning not to give compensation to families and loved ones of gay people who died that terrible day.
What could be the logic of discriminating against some of the heros of that day?! Why would we include fetuses and illegal aliens, and not include gays on the list of families that get compensation? It seems to me that the families of gay people could be evaluated just as those of heterosexual couples who are not married, but lived in committed relationships. Who could possibly think that gay people are somehow less worthy of compensation that any other person.
Please right this awful wrong and include all people who families deserve compensation whether gay or straight.
Thank you for stopping such blatant discrimination.
Sincerely,
