Fairness
I am writing to lend a LOUD voice to those from whom you have already heard -
your policy on compensation for mates of gay and lesbians lost in the
September 11th tragedy is unacceptable to me and should be to you too. These
people in committed relationships or with children are just as honorable and
deserving as those you are compensating. The loss hurts just as much and the
consequences are just as dire.
Where is your sense of justice and fairness. How do you go sleep at night
know you support this discrimination? I thought your function was to help
and comfort, not to cause more pain. How do you explain and JUSTIFY your
actions. Please think about this and change this policy. Please get back to
me on this.
