discrimination of gay partners
the tragedy of sept. 11, 2001 has affected us all as one nation. we need not consider ourselves solely as african-americans, jewish-americans, etc, but as "we the people of the united states of america". it doesn't matter that some of the heroes of 9/11 we gay and left behind a partner, but that they did what they did for the love of this country. don't shut them out or down play who they were for the simple fact of their sexuality. they were not the terrorist who attacked this country, but they served it in honor.
currently, the terrorist at guantonimo bay are getting more respect and recognition than the brothers and sisters of this country, who went to their grave standing up for all of america.
please reconsider your position of allowing benefits to partners of those who lost their life for this great country we call the united states of america.
sincerely,
