I have been very disappointed in the manner in which the United States Government has been portraying the Victim's Fund as a kind gesture by a caring government.

Immediately after the atrocity on September 11th, our government passed legislation to bail the airline industry out. They recognized that the massive amounts of lawsuits would cripple the industry. This fund is to save them and not to compensate the victims who were killed because of the airline's and the government's negligence.

To further penalize these victims the government has decided to deduct private insurance payout and social security payments. Both of these plans were self-funded and should have no bearing on a settlement.

The United States Government has let us down terribly. Every day we hear of more and more evidence that the government was aware of terrorist activity and turned a blind eye.
My brother,      , was a very proud American and I know he would want his son,      , to grow up to be the same. Please do not let him down.

Sincerely,
