government paying of victims
I really am bothered that the US government sees fit to pay victims
families for Sep 11th. These people were killed. It certainly amounts to
wrongful death. But how can we draw a distinction from Sep 11th or being
shot to death in a gas station holdup, a bank robbery, a home robbery, or
even killed by an automobile accident ( about 110 Americans die every single
day from automobile related incidents). How can our government tax us to
help some but not all families of wrongful death or murder ? I believe it is
unconstitutional.
I feel very strongly, and am very angry over what has happened to these
fellow Americans, but how can we compromise our constitution, by having our
government giving this one group cash? I want to see Bin Laden's head on a
post outside the capitol as a warning to all who might attempt such a thing.
But financial meddling by our government should not happen.
