
Media Advisory - Human Trafficking Training
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Alabama and the Alabama Crime Prevention Clearinghouse and Training Institute at Auburn University-Montgomery are sponsoring a training on Combating Human Trafficking in Alabama on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at Auburn University-Montgomery, Room 112 Goodwyn Hall. The training will be presented to over 150 federal, state and local law enforcement officers, prosecutors, victim service providers and other social service agencies. Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and the victims are young children, teenagers, men and women. There will be a variety of speakers from the Department of Justice, KlassKIDS Foundation, National Search Center for Missing and Trafficked Children, the Family Justice Center and Alabama Office of Prosecution Services.
