Montgomery, Alabama - George L. Beck, Jr., United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama, Rodney Clarke, Internal Revenue Special Agent in Charge, and Clayton Slay, U.S. Secret Service Resident Agent in Charge, will hold a press conference to announce the government’s crackdown on identity theft and fraudulent tax preparers. Since this is the tax filing season, it is a perfect time to warn taxpayers about these fraudulent tax preparers. Press releases and other handouts will be provided at the conference.

The press conference will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 131 Clayton Street, Montgomery, Alabama, and the media is invited.
