
Meth Cook Sentenced In Federal Court
Michael Allen Brooks, 41, of Atmore, Alabama, was sentenced in federal court today for his participation in a conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. Brooks entered a guilty plea to the charges in December of 2011.
Judge Callie V. S. Granade imposed a sentence of 236 months imprisonment, to be followed by a supervised release term of five years. The judge also ordred that the defendant undergo drug abuse treatment during his incarceration and his supervision. No fine was imposed, but the judge ordered that Brooks pay the special manadtory assessment of $100.
The case was investigated by the Baldwin County Drug Task Force and the Bay Minette Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Gloria Bedwell.
