94-Month Sentence In Felon-In-Possession Case

MOBILE, AL-- United States Attorney Kenyen R. Brown announced today that Germaine Snipes, a Mobile, Alabama resident, previously indicted for being a felon-in-possession of a firearm, was sentenced today by Senior United States District Judge Charles R. Butler, Jr. to 94 months incarceration.

Snipes had entered a guilty plea to the charge which arose from a May 26, 2011 traffic stop on Bellingrath Road in Mobile by the Mobile Police Department.

The case was investigated by the Mobile Police Department and the ATF and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deborah Griffin.
