
Mobile County Man Sentenced To 235 Months Incarceration For Illegal Possession Of A Firearm
The United States Attorney, Kenyen Brown announces that Frank M. Howard, 32 years old, a Mobile, Alabama resident was sentenced today. The Honorable Callie Granade found Howard to be an Armed Career Criminal and sentenced Howard to 235 months incarceration, followed by five years of supervised release and a monetary assessment of $100. This sentence was for possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony offense - Burglary 3rd in 2005. Howard was indicted in March 2012 and was later convicted after a jury trial on July 9, 2012. Howard’s criminal history includes nine (9) burglary convictions and one (1) robbery conviction.
Special Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives investigated the case and brought it to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for prosecution. The prosecutor assigned to the case is Assistant United States Attorney, Gina S. Vann.
