UPDATE – CHRISTINA SZELE TO BE RELEASED TO A HALF-WAY HOUSE

Christina Szele appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Watanabe this afternoon in U.S. District Court in Denver.  Magistrate Judge Watanabe ordered Szele released to a half-way house.  Szele is only allowed to leave the half-way house for drug and alcohol treatment or for mental health counseling.  She is likely going to bond out of federal custody to the half-way house tomorrow (Friday, October 10, 2008).  Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 3, 2008, before U.S. District Court Judge John L. Kane.
