David B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that RODOLFO REVELLO, 40, of Trumbull, was sentenced yesterday by Senior United States District Judge Ellen Bree Burns in New Haven to 60 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for distributing cocaine.

This matter stems from a long-term investigation into gang activity and the trafficking of firearms and narcotics in southwestern Connecticut.  According to court documents and statements made in court, REVELLO supplied cocaine to other members of the conspiracy, including members of the Stamford Chapter of the Latin Kings, who then sold the drugs to their own customers.

From January to May 2011, law enforcement officers conducted multiple controlled purchases of cocaine from individuals supplied by REVELLO.

REVELLO was arrested on May 10, 2011, while purchasing approximately 50 grams of cocaine from a co-defendant for approximately $1,700.

On March 6, 2012, REVELLO pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and distribution of, 500 grams or more of cocaine.

More than 100 firearms, including machine guns, were purchased or seized during the investigation, and 17 individuals have been charged with various federal offenses.  All 17 defendants have pleaded guilty.

This matter was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Marshals Service, the Stamford Police Department, the Bridgeport Police Department, the Norwalk Police Department and the Connecticut Department of Correction.  The investigation was funded in significant part by the United States Attorney’s Office Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and supported by the Office’s Project Safe Neighborhoods and Anti-Gang programs.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Anthony E. Kaplan and Marc H. Silverman.
