PENSACOLA, FLORIDA – Joseph Richard Robson, Sr., 72, of Gulf Breeze, Florida pled guilty today to production and receipt of child pornography.
On February 15, 2012, Special Agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations (ICE HSI), with the assistance of members of the Northern Florida Internet Crimes against Children Task Force (ICAC), executed a federal search warrant at Robson’s residence.  As a result, agents seized a number of computers, cameras, storage devices, and other items.  Subsequent forensic analysis revealed that, during 2010, while at his home in Gulf Breeze, Robson used, persuaded, induced, enticed, or coerced an eight-year-old child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.  Additionally, during that period, Robson received and stored approximately 6,085 files that contained images and videos of child pornography.
Robson faces fifteen to thirty years in prison on the production of child pornography charge and from five to twenty years in prison on the receipt of child pornography charge.  His sentencing is scheduled for September 17, 2012, before Senior United States District Judge Roger Vinson.  Judge Vinson ordered that Robson be released from custody pending sentencing.
The guilty plea was announced today by Pamela C. Marsh, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.  Ms. Marsh expressed her deep gratitude for the joint effort of the agencies participating in the North Florida ICAC, particularly ICE-HSI, the Pensacola Police Department, and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. She credited the success of this prosecution to their investigative partnership.  The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney J. Ryan Love.
