Americus Georgia Man Sentenced on child pornography Violation

                Michael J. Moore, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, announced today that Urban Angry was sentenced on December 15, 2011, to a term of 97 months in prison by the Honorable W. Louis Sands, Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.  Upon his release from prison, Angry will be subject to a term of supervised release for the remainder of his life and will be required to register with the sexual offender registry.  Angry, age 41, of Americus, Georgia, pled guilty pursuant to a plea agreement on September 21, 2011, to one count of possession of child pornography in violation of Title 18 United States Code, Section 2252(a)(4)(B). 

                The investigation of Angry began when law enforcement officers identified Angry’s computer as one from which images of child pornography could be accessed via a peer to peer file sharing network.  Agents obtained a search warrant and seized Angry’s personal computers, forensic analysis of which revealed multiple still images and videos of prepubescent children engaging in sexually explicit conduct. 

                Angry’s sentence must be served in its entirety, as there is no parole in the Federal prison system. 

                United States Attorney Moore remarked that, “With every viewing of these photos and videos, these children were victimized again.  The United States Attorney’s Office is dedicated to prosecuting all persons involved in the sexual exploitation of children to the fullest extent of the law.”

                Assistant United States Attorney K. Alan Dasher prosecuted the case.  The case was investigated by agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
