A woman and man who were multi-ounce distributors of methamphetamine have been sentenced to federal prison for their role in a methamphetamine conspiracy.

Rebecca Anne Beldin, age 34, of Omaha, received a 5-year prison term and Christopher Rudy Jimenez, age 35, of Omaha, received a prison term of over eight years, after earlier guilty pleas to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Information provided by the United States at the sentencing and change of plea hearings revealed that during the conspiracy between April 2009, through July 2009, defendants’ residence in Omaha was the location where 2 ounces of crystal methamphetamine was to be sold. Defendants’ residence was also the location where multiple drug transactions took place. Beldin and Jimenez were supplying a co-defendant with crystal methamphetamine which was brought back to Sioux City and re-sold. Beldin and Jimenez were receiving money or crystal methamphetamine for arranging the transactions.

Beldin and Jimenez were sentenced on March 17, 2010, in United States District Court in Sioux City by United States District Court Judge Mark W. Bennett. Beldin was sentenced to 60 months’ imprisonment and Jimenez was sentenced to 100 months’ imprisonment. Beldin and Jimenez must each serve a four-year term of supervised release after prison. There is no parole in the federal system. Beldin and Jimenez were each ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

Both are being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until they can be transported to a federal prison.
