Contact: Peter Deegan
A Decorah man who was originally sentenced on July 21, 2004, to 18 months imprisonment and one year of supervised release for failure to pay child support, was re-sentenced on July 11, 2011. Dennis Naley, 44, from Eagle, Idaho, formerly from Decorah, Iowa, received an additional five years probation after United States District Court Chief Judge Linda R. Reade determined Mr. Naley had failed to pay the restitution originally ordered and failed to keep the United States Attorney’s Office informed of any address changes while owing this restitution, a requirement of the original judgment.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Matthew J. Cole and Assistant United States Attorney Martin J. McLaughlin.
