DES MOINES, IA - On January 5, 2012, Robbie Dean Fetters, age 39, Des Moines, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to a total of 320 months imprisonment, following convictions for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, using or carrying a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possessing a firearm as a felon.

Judge Jarvey sentenced Fetters to 120 months imprisonment on the two felon in possession convictions, 240 months on the two methamphetamine distribution convictions and 260 months on the conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine convictions, to be served concurrently. Judge Jarvey further sentenced Fetters to a mandatory 60 months imprisonment on the using or carrying a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, to be served consecutively to the other counts of conviction. Fetters was also ordered to pay $700 to the Crime Victim Fund, and Fetters will be on supervised release for a period of five years after release from prison.

This case was investigated by the Des Moines, Iowa, Police Department, the Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Police Department, the MINE Task Force, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
