Columbus Junction Man Sentenced On Federal Drug Charges
Davenport, IA – On Friday, February 10, 2012, Kevin Lee Harrison, age 48, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, was sentenced to 121 months imprisonment in connection with federal charges of conspiracy to knowingly manufacture and distribute methamphetamine, announced United States Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt. United States Chief District Judge James E. Gritzner also sentenced Harrison to 5 years supervised release following imprisonment, restitution in the amount of $2163.55 to be paid to the Drug Enforcement Administration for clean-up of a lab site, and a $100 payment to the Crime Victim’s Fund .
From sometime in 2009 until July 27, 2010, Harrison conspired with co-defendant’s Randy Lee Lowe and David Carl Kindred to manufacture methamphetamine. Lowe was earlier sentenced to 131 months imprisonment. Kindred was sentenced to 164 months imprisonment.
Ricky Forrest Kindred and Pamela Sue Hesser were indicted in a related case. Hesser was earlier sentenced to 84 months imprisonment. Ricky Kindred has entered a guilty plea and awaits sentencing.
This case was investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Washington, Iowa, Police Department, the Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Police Department, The Washington/Louisa County Drug Task Force and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement. The case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Iowa.
