Davenport Man Sentenced in Connection with Stolen Firearms

DAVENPORT, IA- On August 24, 2012, Harold Antonio Robinson, age 27, from Davenport, Iowa was sentenced to 110 months imprisonment, having previously pleaded guilty to possession of firearms by a prohibited person, announced United States Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt. Chief United States District Judge James E. Gritzner also ordered Robinson to serve three years of supervised release and pay $100 towards the Crime Victims Fund.

In April 2010, Robinson was convicted of domestic assault. Under federal law, he was prohibited from possessing firearms. During the period of January 21, 2011, to February 10, 2011, Robinson possessed several firearms that previously had been stolen in Davenport, Iowa. Robinson caused these firearms to be loaded into a van and transported to Dubuque, Iowa, where they were stored in a residence. ATF agents and police seized these firearms in Dubuque on April 12, 2011.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and the Davenport Police Department and was being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
