
Three Davenport Men Sentenced For Marijuana Conspiracy
Davenport, IA – On February 23, 2012, Steven Allen Ashby, 51, and Raymond Scott Standafer, 33, of Davenport, were each sentenced to 33 months’ imprisonment for conspiracy to distribute approximately 180 pounds of marijuana, announced United States Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt. Another co-conspirator, Nicholas Christopher Tacker, 36, also from Davenport, was sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment. United States District Judge John A. Jarvey sentenced all three men to three years of supervised release.
From January 2011 through May 2011 Standafer, Ashby, and Tacker were involved with several others in a conspiracy to distribute marijuana in the Davenport area. During the conspiracy all three men made trips to Rockford, IL, to pick up loads of marijuana and returned to Davenport to distribute it.
The case was investigated by the Davenport Police Department and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, and the case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Iowa.
