Iowa Woman Sentenced to 5 years in Prison for Methamphetamine Offense

Davenport, IA – On December 6, 2012, Shannon Lee Wroe, age 61, of Letts, Iowa, was sentenced to 60 months’ imprisonment for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine, announced United States Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt. Chief United States District Judge James E. Gritzner also sentenced Wroe to two years supervised release.

Wroe agreed with others, including co-defendants Patricia Rae Parris and Angela Marie Ryan, to distribute methamphetamine from November 2008 through November 2011. Wroe distributed quarter to half pound quantities of methamphetamine to Parris on multiple occasions over the course of the conspiracy. Parris and Ryan are awaiting sentencing.

The case was investigated by the Quad Cities Metropolitan Enforcement Group, and was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
