COEUR D'ALENE – Dee Ann Crawford, 55, of Lewiston, Idaho, was sentenced in federal court in Coeur d'Alene today to 60 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge also ordered Crawford to serve five years of supervised release following her prison term and perform 120 hours of community service.

According to court documents, on December 8, 2011, Crawford pled guilty to a one-count indictment charging her with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. According to the indictment, between January 1 and September 2010, Crawford conspired with other individuals to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

“Methamphetamine trafficking is the number one drug threat throughout Idaho,” said Olson. “With our state and federal law enforcement partners, we will use every investigative tool necessary to ensure that those who would poison our communities with this addictive drug are caught and punished.”

The case was investigated by Idaho State Police and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
