Pocatello Woman Sentenced for Impeding Federal Officer
July 10, 2012
POCATELLO – Valerie Pottorff, 45, of Pocatello, Idaho, was sentenced today to one year of probation for impeding a federal officer, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. Pottorff pleaded guilty to the charge in March 2012.
According to the plea agreement, Pottorff admitted that on October 31, 2011, in Bannock County, Idaho, she forcibly fled from a deputy U.S. Marshal who was attempting to serve her with a federal subpoena, thereby opposing and impeding the federal officer in the performance of his duties.
The case was investigated by the United States Marshals Service.
