
Canadian Man Sentenced for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute

Rock Island, Ill - A Canadian man, Yves Le Bon, 43, of Montreal, Quebec, was sentenced today to a term of 10 years in prison for possession of more than five kilograms of cocaine on August 22, 2007, in Henry county with the intent to distribute. Le Bon pled guilty to the drug offense on March 27, 2008, and to improper entry to the U.S. by an alien, on or about August 17, 2007 at or near Champlain, New York. The charges resulted from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Illinois State Police, and the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sara Darrow prosecuted the case.
