KANSAS CITY MAN SENTENCED TO 15+ YEARS FOR SELLING CRACK COCAINE
KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Ronald Thomas, Jr., 25, Kansas City, Kan., has been sentenced to 188 months in federal prison for distributing crack cocaine.
Thomas pleaded guilty to one count of distributing crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kan. In his plea, he admitted that in May 2008 he sold crack cocaine to an agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives who was posing as the owner of a pawn shop.
Co-defendant Justin Gray was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison. U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch commended the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott Rask for their work on the case.
