Wichita Native Joins U.S. Attorney’s Office In Wichita

WICHITA, KAN. – Barry Disney, a Wichita native, has been sworn in as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.

Disney was a Deputy Attorney General from 2007 to 2011, serving under Kansas Attorney Generals Paul Morrison and Steve Six. From 1997 to 2007 he was an Assistant District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District in Wichita. From 1992 to 1997 he was Crawford County Attorney. He was in private practice from 1987 to 1992.

Disney is a 1987 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.

Disney was hired under a Justice Department initiative adding new attorney positions to increase immigration enforcement and support the Southwest Border Initiative targeting Mexican drug cartels.
