Kingman Man Sentenced On Child Porn Charge
WICHITA, KAN. – Austin Alan Ray, 20, Kingman, Kan., has been sentenced to eight and a half years for receiving and distributing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.
Ray pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography. In his plea, he admitted that between Oct. 14, 2010, and Oct. 27, 2010, he received child pornography via computer. At sentencing, prosecutors argued Ray had both received and distributed child pornography using Shareaza and Limewire file-sharing programs. Ray possessed more than 2,400 images of child pornography.
Grissom commended Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart for their work on the case.
