
Kansas City Man Sentenced to 19+ Years in Crack Case
KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Alejandro Ray Williams, 40, Kansas City, Kan., has been sentenced to 235 months in federal prison on charges of distributing crack cocaine.
In January, a jury found Williams guilty on one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine and seven counts of distributing crack cocaine. During trial, evidence was presented that from July 1, 2009, to Dec. 30, 2009, Williams distributed crack in the Kansas City metro area. Investigators arranged to purchase crack from Williams eight times. Williams was found to have distributed more than 2 kilograms of crack.
Grissom commended the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Assistant U.S. Attorney Sheri McCracken and Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott Rask for their work on the case.
