
Two Plead Guilty
To Distributing Heroin In Wichita
WICHITA, KAN. – Two people have pleaded guilty to distributing heroin in Wichita, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said.
Patrice Chadwick, 28, Wichita, Kan., pleaded guilty to one count of distributing heroin and one count of using the U.S. postal system in furtherance of drug trafficking. Christopher Schneider, 30, Rose Hill, Kan., pleaded guilty to one count of distributing heroin.
In her plea, Chadwick admitted that on Oct. 4, 2010, co-defendant Karen McCann delivered 50 bindles of heroin to a Dillon’s store near Georgetown and Harry and distributed it to Chadwick by leaving it in the bathroom for Chadwick to pick up and deliver to co-defendant Jermaine Ward.
Chadwick also admitted that on Oct. 13, 2010, co-defendant Jamel Ward mailed 100 bindles of heroin from New York to Wichita. The package was addressed to Chadwick at an address on South Holyoke in Wichita. Chadwick went to that address and waited for the package to be delivered.
In his plea, Schneider admitted that on Oct. 20, 2010, he delivered two bags of heroin to co-defendant Jennifer Mathews at her work place in Andover. Mathews had ordered the heroin from co-defendant Jermaine Ward.
Chadwick is set for sentencing Jan. 30. She faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $1 million on the distribution charge and a maximum penalty of five years and a fine up to $250,000 on the mail charge.
Schneider is set for sentencing Jan. 30. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $1 million.

Cody Martin, 21, Haysville, Kan., who is set for sentencing Dec. 19.
Dylan Martin, 19, Haysville, Kan.,who is set for sentencing Dec. 19.
Eric Stine, 33, Augusta, Kan.,who is set for sentencing Jan. 23, 2012.
Kyle Jackson, 22, Andover, Kan., who is set for sentencing Dec. 19.
Jennifer Matthews, 28, Oklahoma City, Okla., who is set for sentencing Dec. 19.
Donald Luke Huckins, 33, Rose Hill, Kan, who is set for sentencing Dec. 19.
Grissom commended the Wichita Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration for their work on the case.
