
Barton County Man Sentenced To 15+ Years
On Federal Methamphetamine Conviction

WICHITA, KAN. – A Barton County man has been sentenced to federal prison for more than 15 years for trafficking in methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.
Mark R. Wintholz, 45, Great Bend, Kan., was sentenced to 188 months. Wintholz pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. In his plea, Wintholz admitted that investigators served a search warrant May 2, 2011, at his home in the 3100 block of 25th Street in Great Bend, Kan. They seized about a quarter pound of methamphetamine and more than $5,000 in cash.
Grissom commended the Barton County Sheriff’s Office and Assistant U.S. Attorney Mona Furst for their work on the case.
