BATON ROUGE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO VIOLATING FEDERAL DRUG LAWS
LARRY GRIM, age 35, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, plead guilty yesterday in federal court before Judge Eldon E. Fallon to a two-count indictment for violating the Federal Controlled Substances Act, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to court records, on June 17, 2009, GRIM along with co-defendant, Tremaine Ausbon, was charged with conspiracy to distribute over fifty (50) grams of crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute over fifty (50) grams of crack cocaine. GRIM faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten (10) imprisonment and a possible maximum of life imprisonment, a fine of $4,000,000, and at least five (5) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment. Sentencing has been scheduled for September 23, 2010.
The investigation was conducted by Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Spiro Latsis and Michael McMahon.
