JOHN MOSELY, age 25, a resident of Terrebonne Parish, pled guilty in federal court yesterday before U. S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance to a five-count indictment for violating the Federal Controlled Substances Act, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.

According to the factual basis, MOSELY admitted that on five different occasions between July, 2008 and April, 2009, he sold various amounts of crack cocaine to a confidential source working with law enforcement. MOSELY faces a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment, millions in fines, and at five (5) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment. Sentencing has been scheduled for December 1, 2010.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Louisiana State Police. The matter was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Spiro Latsis.
