UNITED STATES ATTORNEY’S OFFICE HONORS FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL FOR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 2011

BOSTON, Mass. - United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz announced today that 113 federal, state and local law enforcement officials were recognized for exceptional service at the 13th Annual Law Enforcement Public Service Awards Ceremony.

The ceremony held at the United States Courthouse in Boston honored those who performed exception public service and/or contributed to complex cases prosecuted. The honorees were nominated by Assistant U.S. Attorneys who worked on these cases.

“The work that has been done by the recipients of this distinct honor has directly impacted the safety of our communities here and throughout the nation,” said U.S. Attorney Ortiz. “Despite difficult circumstances and long hours spent away from their friends and families, the recipients of this award have maintained their unwavering commitment to justice.”

The cases and agencies recognized today were:

United States v. James Burke
