Baltimore Cocaine Dealer Sentenced to More than 12 ½ Years in Federal Prison

Baltimore, Maryland - U.S. District Judge William D. Quarles, Jr. sentenced Jerry Brown, age 29, of Baltimore, today to 151 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute over five kilograms of cocaine, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein.

According to his guilty plea, between at least March and May, 2007, Brown purchased kilograms of cocaine for distribution in the Baltimore area. On April 1, 2007, one of Brown’s co-conspirators sold Brown a Tec 9 firearm to pay a debt owed for purchases of cocaine. On May 3, 2007, DEA agents and Baltimore County Police officers recovered approximately four and one half ounces of crack cocaine and a magazine for a Tec 9 firearm from Brown’s residence.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein thanked the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Baltimore County Police Department for their investigative work in this Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force case, and commended Assistant United States Attorney Charles J. Peters, who prosecuted the case.
