
St. Louis man sentenced on heroin distribution charge
St. Louis, MO - The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Robert Simmons was sentenced to 235 months in prison Friday afternoon, April 20th. According to the facts filed with the court at the his January guilty plea, Simmons admitted to distributing heroin to a woman on December 1, 2010, and that her death resulted from her use of the heroin.
ROBERT SIMMONS, St. Louis, 63120, pled guilty in January to one felony count of distribution of heroin, and appeared Friday for sentencing before United States District Judge Carol E. Jackson.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Calhoun County, Illinois Sheriff’s Department. Assistant United States Attorney Tiffany Becker handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
