St. Louis, MO - Gregory Mason was sentenced to 108 months in prison by United States District Judge Audrey G. Fleissig. Mason received sentencing enhancements for pointing a pistol at a St. Louis police officer.

According to court documents, during the afternoon hours of September 22, 2011, an officer of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department heard gunshots and responded to the area of the 1400 block of Monroe, St. Louis City. Witnesses advised the officer that the shooter fled the area in a gold Pontiac Grand Prix. The Grand Prix drove in the wrong direction on Biddle and proceeded at a high rate of speed to escape the police officer and crashed near the 1100 block of 20th Street. Mason exited the Grand Prix with what was later determined to be a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which he pointed at the officer before running. He was later apprehended. Due to his criminal history, he is forbidden to own or possess firearms.

GREGORY MASON, St. Louis City, formerly of the Dallas, Texas area, pled guilty in May to one felony count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
