St. Louis, MO - Warnell Reid was sentenced to 188 months in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, consecutive to sentences for Robbery in the First Degree and drug charges for which he is on parole from the Missouri Department of Corrections.

According to testimony presented at trial, Reid, a previously convicted felon, knowingly possessed an SKS rifle with a high capacity magazine and a 12-gauge shotgun in St. Louis City. The United States Marshals Service discovered the firearms in November 2011 while making an unrelated arrest.

WARNELL REID, St. Louis, MO, who was on parole at the time of the offense, was found guilty by a jury in August of one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He appeared today for sentencing before United States District Judge Jean C. Hamilton and was sentenced as an Armed Career Criminal.

This case was investigated by the United States Marshals Service, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Michael Reilly handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
