KANSAS CITY, Mo. - David M. Ketchmark, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced today that a Blue Springs, Mo., man has been charged in federal court with producing child pornography.

Christopher R. Lockhart, 29, of Blue Springs, was charged in a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Lockhart remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing.

According to an affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Lockhart’s residence and seized numerous computers, including laptops, flash drives and other media. One of those computers contained video files and images of child pornography, including video of an adult engaged in sex with a 3-4-year-old child.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Marquez. It was investigated by the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force and the Blue Springs, Mo., Police Department.
