TWELVE PLEAD GUILTY TO FEDERAL GUN CHARGES
Gulfport, Miss - Twelve of the 15 defendants charged in a 30-count federal firearms indictment entered guilty pleas this week, announced U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis and Phillip Durham, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.
Cherish Deneen Sherrill, 21, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of possession of stolen firearm. She will be sentenced on November 7, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
Todd Keith Clark, 24, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy, one count of unlawful manufacture of a firearm, and engaging in the business of selling firearms without a license. He will be sentenced on November 6, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
Wilton Joseph Cuevas, 24, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of engaging in the business of selling firearms without a license. He will be sentenced on November 7, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Patrick K. Clark, 48, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy. He will be sentenced on November 6, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.
Codairo S. McCall, 24, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial. He will be sentenced on November 5, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
John Ashley Perrette, 24, of Saucier, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy, one count of transfer of an unregistered firearm, and one count of engaging in the business of selling firearms without a license. He will be sentenced on November 7, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
Jeffrey Allan Perrette, 21, of Saucier, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of possession of an unregistered. He will be sentenced on November 6, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
Kenneth Cody Cochran, 24, of Ocean Springs, pled guilty to one count of engaging in the business of selling firearms without a license. He will be sentenced on November 5, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.
David Brent Watters, 21, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of engaging in the business of selling firearms without a license. He will be sentenced on November 7, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
David M. Watters, 53, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. He will be sentenced on November 7, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
Robert Bruce Smith, 21, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of possession of a stolen firearm. He will be sentenced on November 5, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
Dante Lamar Cameron, 22, of Gulfport, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He will be sentenced on November 14, 2012, and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment.
This case is the result of an undercover investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives into the Simon City Royals criminal street gang and persons selling firearms. It is prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Annette Williams.
