The United States Attorney's Office announced that during a federal court session in Billings, on September 15, 2010, before Chief U.S. District Judge Richard F. Cebull, ROLANDO FRANCISCO CALDERON, a 30-year-old resident of Seattle, Washington, pled guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine and distribution of cocaine. Sentencing has been set for December 20, 2010. He is currently detained.

In an Offer of Proof filed by Assistant U.S. Attorney James E. Seykora, the government stated it would have proved at trial the following:

In 2008, CALDERON was involved in a conspiracy with other individuals to possess with the intent to distribute and the distribution of over 500 grams of cocaine.

CALDERON faces possible penalties of a mandatory minimum of 5 years in prison and could be sentenced to 40 years, a $2,000,000 fine and at least 4 years supervised release.

The investigation was conducted by the Billings Big Sky Safe Streets Task Force.
